The National Religious Partnership for the Environment (NRPE) recently issued an interfaith statement and a letter to Congress addressing global warming and its effects on the poor and the powerless. NRPE is a partnership of the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the National Council of Churches of Christ, and the Evangelical Environmental Network.
